grunching

I think I muck this on the turn. You getting 7-1 and have nothing but an overcard. Even though he is a maniac it's not unreasonable that he has you beat and your outs may be dirty ,too. Even maniacs have good hands sometimes...

Given his VP$P/PFR I think you played it fine.
Isolate raising him pf is good, as is the flop an turn call (you get correct odds to draw to 6 outs and against this type of players you can count 6 full outs most of the time).
Concerning the river call - do you think he'll bet with something worse than A-high here more than once in 9 times? I do - so calling is fine again.

I don't like the iso raise preflop. You know it's gonna come back capped and I don't like A10s that well. I just call and see the flop. If the flop hits then I iso raise. I wanna bust this maniac in the chops too. I'd just like to have a hand to do it with.

edit: I see i'm in the minority on this one.

Anyone saying to call preflop or fold the turn needs to sit down in some shorthanded poker for a while or play against a true manaic (sit down at a 2+2 lagfest and you'll see) and see why simply hitting the "call" button here three times is an awesome line.

I made a post of maniac hands on HUSH. Pretty much I'd call down with A high or any pair, and sometimes K high. Sometimes he'd get lucky and turn or river a pair, but generally I'd win. I took a lot of his money.
