Virtual PC and Party Poker on G4 iBook
Hi, I was wondering if anyone has any experience with running Virtual PC on a G4 iBook.
My sister has an iBook and I was thinking of upping the ram to a gig and running Poker on it. I don't know much about Virtual PC but have heard it eats up a ton of ram and can still lag. With a gig of ram will I be able to 4 table on Party with Poker Tracker and Playerview running smoothly? I'd just like to know if it's even worth it the investment, thanks. |

Re: Virtual PC and Party Poker on G4 iBook
I have a G4 titanium PB with 1GHz/1GB. You definitely won't be able to get Playerview running smoothly while 4-tabling. I 3-table on UB with no problems, but have given up on getting real-time stats on my opponents.

You want to four table on a 1024*768 screen like the iBook??
I have found party poker to run acceptably (2tables) on my PB G4 1.5ghz/768RAM |

Re: Virtual PC and Party Poker on G4 iBook
I've only ever four tabled on a 1024x768 screen so it's ok with me. Can you try and load 4 tables and tell me if it runs smooth? 4 table and listen to iTunes?

2tables w/PT, no HUD was slow and barely playable. I never did try any more than that on the little display. I have 512MB of RAM in a G4 (1 or 1.2Ghz?) iBook from xmas 2004. I decided not to sell my sager

I had 1G in my G5 iMac and it didn't work well enough to multitable w/PT & GT+ without major lag. Buy a PC, that's what I did.
