The point is that on a good fantasy week for say Deuce McAlister he will have 110 yards TD and 3 catches for 12 yards is 16 points (if I understand the scoring correctly)

Where as a Donovan McNabb good week is 300 yards, 2 TDs and 20 yards rushing. Thats 25 points.

Even if you are stuck with a backfield mess of JJ Arington, Thomas Jones and Chris Brown if you have Peyton Manning as your quarterback you are going to win most weeks.

this analysis is incomplete without stating what a 'good' week would be for someone like Collins or Brady or Hasselbeck (who should be there 8-9 rounds later)

I am in another leage now. This league starts 2 QB's, 2 Runningbacks, 3 WRs.

Passing is scored at 6 points per touchdown - minus 2 for INT. 1 per 25 yds.

Rushing/Receiving is 6 per td - minus 2 for fumble and 1 for 10 yards.

Only 8 tems in the league and the league is an autodraft. I rank player and set it to fill my starting positions before drafting backups, or take the ghiest ranked player I have ranked and don't worry about filling the lineup.

How does the second QB change my strategy? I guess I need at least 3 for byes, etc. Should I rank them higher than is typical, or still go with a more standard ranking?

Ok, this is my first time playing FF. I'm pretty sure my 12 team league goes by standard scoring. I'm only really concerned about my first round #2 pick. I really want L Tomlinson, but who do I get if #1 takes him? I'd prefer not to take P Manning for reasons, but will take him if he's just that valuable.
Also, sometimes I hear about a year being rich in RB's or rich in QB's and the like, how would you break down this year as far as emphasis in early drafting?

Its the other picks that will win or lose the league for you.

Take Holmes or Alexander. If your risk averse, Alexander. If you're a gambler, Holmes. If you take Holmes be sure to grab Larry Johnson.
