Re: 5/10 How bad did I screw this up?
You picked a weird time to check-raise.
I would've just bet on the flop. Equity. I guess the river bet isn't bad since the pot's so big and you check-raised the turn. |

Re: 5/10 How bad did I screw this up?
Your turn raise boggles the mind. I also don't think we'll be folding Button and SB enough to make betting the river profitable.
And I'd just lead out on the flop. |

[/ QUOTE ] How is the reason we lead out on the flop here, (which I agree with), differen't than the reason we raise the turn? You do both because you will win this pot WAY more than your fair share. Right? |

Your turn raise boggles the mind. [/ QUOTE ] I thought I read on here that if you pull off this turn checkraise in a situation where at least 4 people will call the raise, you're doing it for value. I've never tried this concept, and my numbers may be off, but I remember something like that. Maybe a math guy can chime in. |

Re: 5/10 How bad did I screw this up?
Yeah, one problem here is that there is no way to guarentee everybody will call (they didn't in the actual hand for example).
Also, c/ring the turn cuts down on your implied odds on the river no? |

Re: 5/10 How bad did I screw this up?
Those were the two rreasons I didn't like checkraising. Maybe boggle the minds was too strong a phrase.

You're 4.1:1 to hit. [/ QUOTE ] Are you assuming are ace outs are good to get this number? Based on the flush draw outs alone, I don't see how we can be winning that often because it certainly looks like the hearts we need are tied up in the other people's hands. |
