Re: Level 3, getting low stacked -- AQo. Let\'s play this one out.
Pushing is +icmEV.
I'm not sure if limping and/or raising to t125 (t150 would seem to make a pot that is too big to play OOP post flop when called...but is fine too I guess) is more +EV. I can see some reasons to make either of these plays depending on the table and how well you can extract value post flop. Yugoslav |

Re: Level 3, getting low stacked -- AQo. Let\'s play this one out.
I push it.
you are already seriously short stacked. Any fancy play that you will fold leaves you way short stacked. You are close to pot committed. Coming back from 400 against those stacks is unlikely. Getting a better hand soon is unlikely. Waiting for a better hand that you can double up with will only double up your shorter by then stack. A shorter stack that anyone will call. Use what little FE you have. A push will close the gap a little. just my thought. hyde |

I'm all-in every time at this point. No other way. It's possible he's pushing with pocket pairs, preferably JJ or lower, given the stacks. He may be just trying to isolate you and build his stack.
I would have bumped to 175 and then pushed any reraise. Time to gamble. |

Eek. I hate pushing here; whether the blinds are about to go up or not, you're still risking 600+ to get 75. [/ QUOTE ] Don't forget about the real possibility of getting called and then doubling up. Hero is NOT pushing with trash. |

make it 250 or so and call any push, its by far the best way to play this, by far.

Why is that the best way to play this?

Re: Level 3, getting low stacked -- AQo. Let\'s play this one out.
because people will call with dominated hands still, so if you hit an ace you can double up through that, if someone has a pocket pair and pushes pre fine flip the coin, and fish call with hands like QJ, KT from the blind or whatever trying to see a flop and you are betting enough pre that if they catch up to you on the flop so be it, by making it like 250 you are making it -EV for them to see flop.

Re: Level 3, getting low stacked -- AQo. Let\'s play this one out.
Does everyone agree that this AQ is gonna be played to the felt? There is no way we can lay this down right? Are we looking to see a flop against someone and then push? Open pushing is prety much bad becasue either your risking to much or winning to little. I guess a raise to invite a hand and then get lucky is what were hoping for right? There really isnt anyway to get out of this hand.
