Think of it like a normal forum split, except in this case, we own the advertising and do the moderation. I fail to understand your problem here DV. This forum is now the appropriate place for bonus discussion.

Maybe for some, Id rather have it all in the zoo. Especially since this is a biased forum. I also liked the computer chat in the zoo, but that wasnt really gambling, so I didnt mind a new forum.

so basically now "internet gambling" isnt about poker strategy, not about bonuses and not about tech, so what is it?

Some people like boutiques, I like one stop shopping. Ill stick to the zoo..... Hope others do too.

Here's what the Zoo is still about:
Softness of games at poker sites
where to find certain games/limits
bots
conspiracy theories
party/stars etc mods
Party's stance on PokerEdge, GameTime+, PTracker, etc
New sites coming out
Old sites going out of business
legal issues pertaining to online poker

There're still plenty of things to discuss in the Zoo. That's part of the reason for the split. The Zoo is so busy, a split only makes sense.

You can still have one shop bonus shopping, here. The only thing campaigning for everyone to post bonuses in the Zoo is going to do, is slowdown the split.

While I may be fighting the inevitable, which I doubt, it is still worth the effort.

The problem here is that this forum is biased.

When you say things like "This forum is now the appropriate place for bonus discussion.",it implies that ALL bonus discussion is supposed to go in this forum.

Which is fine I guess if 2+2 wanted to restrict bonus discussion to not include ALL bonus discussion.

Bottom Line-

If ALL bonus discussion is not allowed in this forum,you shouldn't be implying that this is the apropriate forum on 2+2 for bonus discussion to take place.

Just my opinion

i tthink this is a valid question/issue that should be taken up in another thread at another time. there is merit to the statment, but i am sure jek has a fair answer to this.

regarding the topic of this thread. here is my .02

it seems like some of the objections are based on the fact that this new forum has been placed in the center of the "real" forums.

if i were jek, i would rather have a left bar link that more resembles the merchandise icons. i think if this were moved to it's own area, and can even be made red and bigger, that may make both sides happy. this would eliminate the grey area of the forum looking non-commercial, yet pay jek off by moving his link to the top and make it bigger and bolder.

i dunno. just a thought

I don't care as much as some other posters, but I don't really like that this looks like a "normal" forum either.

I mean, you have a forum on your site and everybody can judge for himself if it's biased or not, but they know that it's the bw forum. This here looks more like a 2+2 forum... the clue is, that it isn't really, or is it?

If I would run this side I would let the affiliates where they belong, in the classified ads and keep the whole forums affiliate free and non-commercial.

I like the bonuswhores site, but when I want information from them I can go to their site/forums, so I don't really see the point in this forum except for $$$

The next day pokersites sponsor the strategy forums or what?
