What do you guys do about soft-playing ?
I saw two players blatantly soft playing each other and not really trying to cover it up.
Player A had $20 left. Player B had $100 left. Player B had the nuts on the river. Had an Ace high flush on a non-paired board. Player B checked it to Player A who also checked. Player B showed the nut flush. I said, "what ?" I said, "You didn't like your nut flush ?" Player B said, "Player A is a good guy". I said, "what ?". I said, "that's pretty suspicious." Player A said, "she can check the river if she wants to." I said, "she ?" They basically admit to knowing each other right there. What would you do in that situation ? I ended up copying the hand history and e-mailing it to support and telling them to check the hand and the chat following it. The table isn't big enough to have that crap going on . I was playing at an 8 man table and then to make matters worse, you have two who basically won't play against each other. |

Re: What do you guys do about soft-playing ?
The more I think about it, the more I think I was cheated tonight. I only lost about $30 but I saw odd things.
I was doing something else and looked up and saw this guy take down a $3 pot with an Aces full of 3's now does that strike anyone as odd ? I think it was checked through to the river but I'm not sure. Also, everyone always folded whenever I had anything. I'm thinking that maybe I wasn't playing against 7 other players but I was playing against about 4 players actually because 3 of them were colluding. |

Re: What do you guys do about soft-playing ?
Odd things happen in PLO simply due to bad players lack of understand of the game. If you see outright malicious collusion then simply email support or dont play at that table anymore. A couple of friends softplaying each other never hurt my own profits.
I can assure if you are losing it has nothing to do with collusion. -Matt |

Re: What do you guys do about soft-playing ?
I have had guys that know me from 2+2 who I thought intentionally soft-played me. I don't think I have ever run into anything that looked like collusion though.

You did the best thing, reporting it to support. If it was PokerStars then they will look at the histories of both of them, whether they have swapped money, played same tables etc. Hopefully you weren't cheated but if you were they should definitely have their accounts closed.

Luckily I don't think I've ever been in a pot with you and had a hand I am Illeagle from party btw. I don't know if I ever mentioned what my name on here was while playing with you and usually delete it when posting HH

Re: What do you guys do about soft-playing ?
I actually reported a few people last week on pokerstars and they do not seem to care about softplaying or whether or not the players have played from the same IP address.
