Default Need Serious College Funding Help

Assume you just graduated High School, you thought you were going to the college you wanted. It costs 18k per year. You have about 6k of this met on your own and all of a sudden your parents pull the scumbag move of not cosigning for any student loans with you. If you have any ideas or experience on what a student abandoned by his parents can do to get loans or somehow be able to still go to college your input would be greatly appreciated.

Every person that I know that has applied for these student loans has been approved, with/without cosigner and good/bad/no credit.

Whore yourself out to 180 fat chicks at $100 a pop, or 18 really fat chicks at $1000 a pop.

I feel for ya'...this is what my parents did to me (the tuition thing, not the whoring thing). I ended up having to work long hours all summer at a horrible job to pay my tuition...but I live in Canada so tuition back then was about $2500 (it's about $6000 now).

Is there anyone else who can co-sign for a loan? A grand-parent, aunt or uncle?

It's probably too late now, but there must be student loans that you can get in your state. Maybe you can apply for the winter semester?

You don't need a cosign for most student loans, as you can't declare bankruptcy on them, talk to the schools financial aid department.

It's not me, it's a good friend of mine. I of course at first told him that he should definitely call the financial aid office at his school tomorrow and explain what is going on. It really sucks for him to just find out that he's going to be 11k short 12 days before he is supposed to start classes. Thanks for the link on the loans without cosigners bit. I didn't know what would be available for him but something along those lines might be his only option.

BTW, the Wynn doesn't spread 30/60.
