I love the cloth surface. What material is that and where can I get some?

It is the suited casino/speed cloth that many people talk about here. Check out HomePokerTourney.com's Supplies List Page for links to a variety of retailers who offer the cloth.

It's top notch stuff... extremely durable and you get great card glide... with ZERO pilling.

To each his own for the "parquet". Guess you've never been to the Boston Garden. I like this table's racetrack.

The suited cloth is excellent though.

On the contrary... have been to many celts games at the "gahden" back in the mid 80's. Born and raised bostonian.

Bit of an unfair comparison.

Hours added for the "parquet" style - 2-3.
Hours added for the "diamond" style - 150?

I am a woodworker and the amount of work that went into that diamond finish is reflected in its $19,000 price tag. Nice table. Diamonds were made either by some poor sot, a router, and a pattern bit (3200 times) or by CNC. Lots and lots of work in assembly and finishing. Don't forget that just the quality veneer used in the diamond table was a decent more money than was spent on the whole table here.

For something that adds a lot of visual interest at a moderate time cost what memphis did looks great.
