It's top notch stuff... extremely durable and you get great card glide... with ZERO pilling.

To each his own for the "parquet". Guess you've never been to the Boston Garden. I like this table's racetrack.
The suited cloth is excellent though.

Hours added for the "parquet" style - 2-3. Hours added for the "diamond" style - 150? I am a woodworker and the amount of work that went into that diamond finish is reflected in its $19,000 price tag. Nice table. Diamonds were made either by some poor sot, a router, and a pattern bit (3200 times) or by CNC. Lots and lots of work in assembly and finishing. Don't forget that just the quality veneer used in the diamond table was a decent more money than was spent on the whole table here. For something that adds a lot of visual interest at a moderate time cost what memphis did looks great.
