Re: Best and Worst Days of Your Life as a Sports Fan
Best: Bears win the Super Bowl.
Worst: Arkansas Razorbacks roundballers drop the championship game to UCLA in '95 after taking it all the year before. |

[ QUOTE ] Best: Can't think of a worst right now. [/ QUOTE ] I am not much of a basketball fan but I have always loved that picture. The thing I love about it is how you see the faces of everyone in the stands. They all know it's going in and that Jordan has just won the game for the Bulls. EVERY single person has that "Oh, sh!t!" look on their face. [/ QUOTE ] that was a very memorable day for me too. My high school graduation was on that day and we tried making it as fast as possible so we could get back and watch the game |

Worst - Montana to Taylor in the endzone, with 30 seconds left, to win the Superbowl XXIII.
The end of the Bengals franchise for 15 years and counting. |

Re: Best and Worst Days of Your Life as a Sports Fan
Best:
Huskers blowing Florida off the field in the '96 Fiesta Bowl, then at the very end of the game, downing on like the 3 yard line with a chance for 70 points, showing Steve Spurrier what a classy football team does (instead of running up the score like he did all that season). Worst: The last two seasons for the Huskers, 7-7 and then 5-6, ugh, way to go Pederson, Callahan was a real catch. Taking Jon Gruden's team from the Super Bowl to 2-14 or something within 2 years, yeah sounds like a great coach to me..... |

Re: Best and Worst Days of Your Life as a Sports Fan
I'm not that old so bear with me.
Best: USC steam rolling the Sooners for their 2nd title. Close: Lakers Game 7 comeback vs. Portland, Steve Finley's HR vs. the Giants, D-Fish's shot vs. the Spurs Worst: Nothing stands out. I feel spoiled as a sports fan. I guess the Lakers playing like horse**** vs. the Pistons gets this by default. |

Re: Best and Worst Days of Your Life as a Sports Fan
Best:
Illinois' comeback vs. Arizona in this past NCAA tournament. I was watching with my dad, grandpa, aunt, and cousin - all of whom are UofI grads - and we were losing our f***ing minds. Luther Head's "Don't you DARE try to block this!" face on that late breakaway is still burned into my memory. Honorable Mention: Game 7 of last year's NLCS Sinking a buzzer-beater to win the St. Louis All-Lutheran Tournament in 8th grade Worst (tie): The Deckinger Call - Game 6, 1985 World Series Ozzie Smith being benched in his final season for Royce Clayton Honorable Mention (also a tie): Cleveland losing the Browns Illinois losing this year's national title game |

Best- Worst- [/ QUOTE ] Both of these were unreal. I still get chills listening to any part of Neihaus' call. I was a season ticket holder for the Supes at the time of the Nuggets upset and I remember Kendall Gill's put back lay in as regulation expired to send the game into OT. I really thought they had dodged the bullet getting into overtime. I still think they would have won it all that year if they would have gotten past Denver. |

Nebraska at PSU under the lights in 2002. PSU absolutely steamrolls Nebraska, one of the few highlights in 3 years for PSU football. |
