Default Good fold?

I think I made the smart play, but hands like this are starting to cost me money.

I get Ah, Jh at a pot limit hold em table.

UTG raises to the pot ($1), five callers.

Flop is Ac, Qc, 4c.

UTG bets .50. I call and then someone raises to $4. Everyone folds except UTG, who calls. I think, then fold.

No more betting. Raiser turns over A9o. Top pair, weak kicker, no flush. River was a J, giving me a potential 2 pair.

I still think with all these players in the pot, and UTG calling, I was right to fold. UTG had 10s, no club.

Still, I was right to fold wasn't I?
