Super 8 near Taj (on Tennessee I think?) was cheap and decent last time I stayed there a few years ago.

Not sure where you're driving back to, but on Route 30 about 10 minutes outside of AC there's a hotel (I think its the Fairfield Inn) that offers Redeye rates. If you stop there real late and they still have rooms, they will give you a nice discounted rate.

You are looking for the Irish Pub Inn

[/ QUOTE ]

Roger that. Irish Pub inn is awesome.

$45 for a room on the weekends with a sink in it. You share a bathroom/shower with people in the hall. You can also get rooms with showers for a little more. It's nothing special, but the bar is open 24hrs and it's 2 blocks from the Taj. Giddy-up.

Almost any hotel will give you a "redeye" rate if they still have rooms available. Last time I was in Detroit I played at Greektown till around 4am. I went to the Marriott a couple blocks over and got a room for about a 1/3 of the rate.

Any bed is 100x more comfortable than my cramped leather car.
