Two on one in the final three of a shootout what to do?
Last night i was at a NYC club playing a shootout. Basically it was 3 Single tables the winner wins a % (180 to be exact) of the prize pool than the 3 winners in this case played for 300 more winner take all. I made through my table to the final three players. What i found was the other 2 involved were friends and they showed up together. Before the last table began they went aside and spoke in private (assuiming they made a deal). I had 12K in chips as did everyone blinds were 500-1000 with a 100 chip ante. After one rotation it becomes clear what is going on. They were both raising the blinds on me and checking each other down to the river. Whats my best angle here with the blinds this high. Im down to 9K in chips i have about 4 orbits left? How should I approached this in the beggining?
Thanks in Advance |

this situation is horrible. I guess I call the pre-flops with any reasonable hand and keep pushing the flops if I hit it. Don't know what else to do, its almost a go out in a blaze of glory or go out by death by a thousand cuts. Did 3rd pay?

1. Punch both of those fuzz nutz in the face!
nah but seriously man, contact whos in charge of game fairness supervision at your club and let them know whats up!!! Also, theyre just seasawing you, it happens all the time in b&m casinos but people dont realize it. The player you dont think has the hand will if they are decent at it. Dont call any of their raises at all!!! Who cares about blinds here, dont be cooperative by calling theyre bs raises, wait for bigger hands, and all in push their raises, youll make more that way then they will of stealing just your small blinds! They may even call you and you may double off one of them. I"m talking Aq,AK,JJ+ here, maybe KQs every once in a while. If you do this, youll slow down their play dramatically, also tell them, hey assholes im not calling your collusion raises, so do the game a favor and call my all in instead. theyll stop if they dont revert to 1st sentence of post... cdl |

desperation, in the event you dont get a decent hand, push with something mediocre and hope they fold out, just think, if 1 raises 2bb, and the other calls, and u push, you just made 4bb, its costing you 1.5 per orbit to sit. You need to be aggressive here,
hope i could help, this is a tough situation |

Yes it is a bad sitaution to be in. And yes i made money. 180 for making it to the final 3. But final 3 is winner take 300 (which is all thats left) so im in a tough 1 on 2 situation as they will surly split if i lose. there is nothing i can tell managment. What "they are raisng my blinds" its allowed. They arent playing each other" perhaps there scared. Right now its just the spirit of the game they are violating..... |

Re: Two on one in the final three of a shootout what to do?
if theyre checking down the hands, its obvious to anyone theres some crap going on. Wait for a big hand very possible, you have 10 orbits! Big in this case may be QJs , any ace, or any pp, but its way better than calling mini raises all day and trying to get lucky, youll chew urself down in about 4 hands, wait for one, latch on, double up, then play aggressive as hell, thats my vote.

collusion IS against the rules of any casino... I don't know how card clubs work, but if you have strong evidence that they are colluding I bet you could do something about it. If nothing else get someone to watch and maybe they'll stop doing it in front of them.

[/ QUOTE ] Three is no hard evidence raising my blinds and not raising each other is def not enought to accuse of collusion. Also, deals are made all the time so if they do have a deal thats again not agaisnt any rules. |
