Default 5/10 nl Ladbrokes

loose player raises 70 (alarm bells, protecting kk qq)
hero calls with A (heart) Q (club). pot 155
Flop j 4 3 all hearts.
villain bets 80.
i reraise all-in 948
No hearts fall his qq are good (one was heart)
too Aggressive? do i just have to learn to let go of aq preflop if raised. (i only called cause his out of the ordinary larger preflop raise annoyed me.
or is this pretty standard.
must be a better way of posting these nightmare hands!

"I know from his preflop raise he has a high pair"

"I call the raise with AQo"

These statements logically conflict.

Once you get to the flop I like putting in a raise only if you know he can lay down an overpair. And even then when you raise it needs to be to the size of the pot instead of all-in. If you know he can't lay down an overpair then you're pretty much getting even money with about 12 outs if you're A is live. Those odds are only slight against you so pushing when you know you're gonna get called is only slightly bad and could do wonders for your table image. Just make sure you push a set the same way you do a draw in the future.
