Why wouldn't you see every flop out of the big blind, if it cost you nothing?

Of course I would see the flop if the pot was unraised, but often it is raised.

Do you see more flops out of the small blind or do you just play it like any other early position?

No, I see more flops out of the SB than other positions.

My normal flop percent when running good is 18-22%. Last night I got incredible hands (including pocket aces back-to-back) and my flop percent was 24%. During this span my showdown percent was 90%. These numbers are obviously not normal but when getting great cards my preflop percent was the same as yours when you say you got bad cards. I don't think you are playing too tight. Do you consider your position when staying or not? Some of those hands should be folded if in early position.

I may be way off but something for you to think about anyway.

Just so you don't feel alone. I played an 1800 hand session last night on 3 of the 2-4 tables on party it was rough. I saw 18% of the flops and only won 5% of my hands. I don't really mind the 18% of flops thats ont he low side of average, but I normally win 7-8% of hands here. The bright side is these games are so soft that I only lost about $50 during the session even with these horrible cards.

Recently considering position has played an increasingly bigger part in the hands I play. ie. AJo or Ax suited are very hard to play in ep, but almost easy limps in lp, or even raises.
I've also recently started playing much tighter in raised pots.

I find that the more serious I get, the less I play certain hands that used to be automatically playable.
The first obvious such hand was QTo.
Recently KJo has started looking worse and worse.
What's next on my list? ATo? K9s?

Homer Jay
A question about your flops seen % of 24% being high even on a good day? Would it make a difference if you were playing say a $10-20 vs a 3-6, since the games get much tighter in higher limits?
Do you play higher limits mostly?
(Although I have seen you at my 3-6 table before, does the name cigarman162 sound familiar?)

Also, what would be a likely flop % if you only played group 1 hands? Group 1 and 2 hands? Group 1 hands and Group 2 hands with consideration to position, raises etc?
Not neccesarily looking for a specific answer, but I suspect these #'s would be quite low.
