What's with Bartley's A5o push over the top? Awful...

[/ QUOTE ]

They didn't show the hand before this where Bartley lost a big hand vs. Henry Tran. He was on tilt.

Loved the one dude's QQ laydown. Especially since he didn't think twice about it.

Big Nicky...Big Nicky.

AC local. Solid player, stand up guy. Locals say he plays a little too timid.

Considering his success this year on the tournament circuit, I would say he plays just fine.

Results oriented.

No. Results oriented would be if he folded QQ to JJ and the flop hit the J. You may think it is the wrong play, but results oriented is not a fair retort to someone who says this was a good laydown

[/ QUOTE ]

The point is that the ONLY reason people say it's a good laydown is because they know Lindgren has KK. If you did not know the hole cards of the other two players and all you know is raise, reraise, re-reraise in front of you...it's a pretty easy laydown.

To put it another way, if Lindgren had JJ, with the same action, would you be still be saying it was a phenomenal laydown? Of course not. Heck, you'd probably be saying he was a idiot, which would be equally silly, given the action.

I don't know if it's the 'worst play ever', but it's a good illustration of why you should usually raise or fold.

I'm confident that I would be able to lay down JJ there but tossing QQ without a second thought takes a lot of discipline and good poker instinct. You guys are, however, judging based on results only. I'm sure if it turned out instead that Erick and Stan both had A-K, a bunch of you would be talking about what a bad laydown Nick made. I agree, JJ I would toss in the muck with a half smile on my face.

QQ I sit there and grimace and tear myself up inside for about 20-30 seconds before calling and losing all my chips.
