Flopped flush, played fast, too wimpy on river?
Was I too wimpy at the river?

Yes. 3-bet/call.

I just call his river raise. If the Button hadn't run out of money I would 3-bet.

Re: Flopped flush, played fast, too wimpy on river?
I 3-bet. The Ace makes a bigger flush less likely, he openlimped UTG so I think his most likely holding is a set. No read on villain so its hard to tell if he possibly could ever open-limp Kxs there.

Re: Flopped flush, played fast, too wimpy on river?
I don't remember which book it was (SSHE, Hilger's book or Jones' book) which said that SECOND nut flush can be played virtually as aggressively as the nutflush. I'd probably at least cap the river, 3 bet at least. This has backfired a few times but usually doesn't (in and SNG, it was capped on the river - 3 people showed down, ace high flush, king high and a queen high, was fun.)

Re: Flopped flush, played fast, too wimpy on river?
Without a read it's hard to tell what's best. Would he play a set this way? Is he a LAG? When you don't have a read, I would probably call at 5/10 since they a more passive there than at 10/20. I would probably 3-bet at 10/20. I don't think it makes a lot of difference without a read.

[/ QUOTE ] You should forget this advice. These two hands play quite differently (due to the possibility of being outdrawn when holding the second nut flush). |
