Good tournament strategy with a SS all-in and two players calling can entail 'checking it down' it is the best interest of both players to eliminate the SS. Good players know this and don't verbalize it.

betting with crap into a dry sidepot 'probably' not even having a hand to beat the All-in is just stupid. I could see betting you out if he flopped a set/two pair with a flush draw on the board but Q high is just stupid.
