[ QUOTE ]
Something I saw go down recently. Tight game 5/10 NL Full Ring. UTG (a recenably tight postflop player, but doesn't liberally call preflop raises) limps UTG. Folded to the SB who completes (SB had been playing very little hands). The BB raises his QQ to 50. UTG Calls 50. SB reraises to 150. BB folds... who would lay down his Q's here? I don't remember the exact stacksize. but let's assume that every player had 100BB for $1000, which wasn't far off. Stacksizes were around that number. [/ QUOTE ] i think i'm calling here, pretty much for the reasons cero stated. however, i do believe you are up against aces or kings here quite frequently; I have had this sequence happen to me a few times from rocks planning to check/call down the hand OOP and every time i've been shown those hands. fim |

[ QUOTE ] Against the right players, I'm laying this down just about every time. [/ QUOTE ] Against the right type of players im re-raising everytime. These types of posts aren't exactly constructive or helpful. [/ QUOTE ] There is almost no one who I would reraise here. Do you see why? |

If you are way ahead you should get a big continuation bet on the flop which you won't get if you reraise (and jj/tt/ak could concievably feel committed to calling your all in on the flop after they lead out).
If you are way behind all the money goes in preflop. At least that's why I wouldn't reraise most people. |

[/ QUOTE ] I was thinking, if you come over the top big, you lose the hands that you have an edge over and you're left with AA, KK, and (maybe) AK. Takes someone special to call an allin with some crap pair or ace. Queens are not a re-re-raising hand in a cash game. |
