Default weird / interesting boat hand

Canterbury 4/8 tonight,

table is playing fairly loose passive, with a 3-bet being very rare. Villain doesn't play very well post flop.

preflop, 2 limpers, villain limps, I limp with 22 on the button, blinds call.

Flop (6sb) : 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

Check to villain who bets, I raise, 4 folds, villain 3-bets, I call.

turn (6bb) : 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

Villain bets, I raise, villain calls.

river (10bb) : 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] [censored]

Villain checks, I bet, villain raises, I throw up a little in my mouth and call.

I reallly thought villain flopped a flush which makes a bigger boat impossible. I guess a hand like A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 6x or A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8 were possiblities, but there was very little semibluffing going on at this table I didn't believe him.

I realize this is very read dependent, but I thought I had to call given my read and the size of the pot. How bad is this? Or is it awesome?
