Does anyone ever bluff raise a 4 flush river....
And have it actually work???? I swear to god at 5/10 it has a .5% chance of working, i've been called by one pair, and two pair like every freaking time. Not just river bluffs but river bets when board is super scary with a 4 flush. Do i have to play 10/20 for this play to ever work?

it works better as a checkraise. but yeah, it doesnt work all that often. You gotta pick the right spots

IMO it's working less at 10/20 than you probably think.
Yes, I have done it. Yes, it has worked. But it's very very opponent specific. Rob |

Totally opponent specific, the limit really doesn't matter. Some opponents can fold for one more bet on the river, some can't
ie. quit trying to bluff calling stations! |

Re: Does anyone ever bluff raise a 4 flush river....
dude I've bluffed on 4 flush and a 4 straight board and have gotten called by 1 pair (not even top pair at that). 6 max is the home of big cards. I really don't even play 22 33 44 even in position and my profits have soared.

Re: Does anyone ever bluff raise a 4 flush river....
Ya, i need to chill out on bluffs on the river when the board is a 4 flush. I KNOW they don't have the flush, but they just never seem to lay anything down. Need to take notes for 4 tabling on who I can even attempt this on.
All in all, not a default play when you know they don't even have the flush. Have to use it as a value bet cuz most of the players pay it off with a worse hand. |
