Finding folds...
I think I'm calling down too much when it's fairly obvious I'm beat, so I'm trying to find places to fold instead of the default "get to showdown cheap" line. Maybe this hand is standard, boring play for seasoned 6max players, but I've been playing full for a while and since the 6max games seem better right now, I'm taking a dip.
MP1 41/1/.3 fish, MP2 is a 34/11/1.5 player Party Poker (6 max, 6 handed) converter Preflop: Hero is BB with T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. MP1 calls, MP2 calls, Hero raises, MP1 calls, MP2 calls. Flop: J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players) Hero bets, MP1 calls, MP2 calls. Turn: A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players) Hero checks, MP1 checks, MP2 bets, Hero folds, MP1 calls. River: 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players) MP1 checks, MP2 bets, MP1 folds. The fold felt really weak since both players could be on some sort of spade draw, but with both players calling my flop bet and the A coming on the turn, I felt like I was going to get raised on the turn if I bet. If this was poorly played, can you give me some suggestions on how to play it better and why it's better? I see options of: A) bet and fold to a raise. B) bet and call a raise and check-call the river C) check with the intention of raising - folding to a 3-bet D) check-fold. |

Re: Finding folds...
I like the idea of betting and folding to a raise. With just 2 other players in and this drawy board you have the best hand way too often to check.

Re: Finding folds...
I would bet and fold the turn. you can not bee sure that your not ahead and the ace scare the otherones and make them fold a lot of hands.
