Best book for beginning player?
What is the best book for a beginning player such as myself. I always win money in the home games, but thats just against guys who come to have fun, not to win my money. A book that can help me play good low limit hold'em and and online poker book is what I need. Any suggestions, would be appreciated.

I'd suggest "Getting Started in Hold'em Poker" by Ed Miller.

Re: Best book for beginning player?
Start with "Getting Started in Hold'em".
Next, If you are playing limit poker online: Get "Small Stakes Holdem" AND "Theory of Poker". For NL, I don't know. There's a bunch of reviews of poker books online, but you should be able to find it using either the search function here, or by using google. I don't have the link handy. |
