Yeah, so now because they've got so many players, they won't be offering any one table tourneys for the entire evening. I really hope Pokerstars grabs a huge chunk of Party's market share already...

Frozen do you play as Frozen444 on Party? If so I remember you as a very solid 15/30 player. Hope you are doing well.
Best regards, |

It seems they had an interesting method of getting the single table tournaments over quickly. I was playing in a $50+5 NLHE sit-n-go, and after that message popped up everyone on my table was automatically set on away, and folded to the big blind. Every hand. Then after around 10 minutes of this and trying to get through to support, 1 player starts calling and betting and takes everyones money.
I have given up trying to get through to someone on the phone, after the first person I talked to after 5 attempts disconnected me after saying it was the players fault. Hopefully they read my email sometime this week and refund us all our buyins. Pokerstars here I come. |

Ick. Not bagging on you, specifically, but people who share this sentiment along with those that want "Party to bury Paradise" and those who are harping on the current playership at Party are ALL being way too shortsighted, IMO. The new player pool that is being tapped into right now by the WPT (on a cable channel with a microscopic viewership, even in the US) the WSOP, and books like PFS and the like is just the tip of the iceberg. We, as players, should not be satisfied with the current player pool to the point where Stars should take market share from Party...Party should continue to grow and Stars should surpass it in the tournament arena as the new player base is broadened worldwide. Look at all the games going on at Commerce on a weekend. The LA metro area is what, ten million people? The world is a big place...we should see numbers exceeding 10,000 players on multiple sites, unless the currently successful sites are similarly shortsighted and choose to sit back and not improve their product. |
