You are giving $5 MTT players way too much credit (especially ones who play big pairs that way). Also, how are you narrowing the field when only 2 players are involved from the beginning? I'd call.

He may have aces, but also:

- he's all-in because he doesn't want to be pushed around.
- he's doing it without thinking(how fast did the all-in come?)
- he's doing it because he has "that feeling".

In my experience, most low limit NL play is governed by pissing contests, feelings and pure ignorance. KJs wouldn't even surprise me with these guys.

Finally, results oriented thinking.

yea i see what you are saying. he did move in fast. but the whole time i was at this table which was like hour or so the guy never showed any real strength. that is why i was pretty postive he had aces. but that is why im asking cuase it seems like i should of called him. but at the time i thought it was the right play for sure.

Yeah, KJs is possible. I think it was a bluff.

But hey. You won the tourney. And that is what matters. Good job.

I gotta have more than a gut feeling to lay down KK. He's either going to have to show me the damn things, or he has to be SO predictable and obvious that he might as well have.

SO many low limit players are going to go to the felt evertime with AK, QQ, even JJ or TT at times.

I played a live MTT, 9 left, 6 pay. I'm 2nd in chips. Blinds 800/1600. I raise to 4K UTG with QQ. Two callers, 3rd chipstack in BB raises to 8K. I push for 40K more. When the first callers cards touch the much, the BB says "call" instantaneously. What is your read on BB?

He had jacks.
