WPT rules regarding televised final tables and logos/brands
i notice sometimes that when i watch a WPT broadcast, the players will be wearing a hat but that black tape (or whatever it is) is over the front of the hat, but you can still see the logo protruding a bit... last time i remember seeing that was the Bay 101 shooting stars from a couple years ago that phil gordon won. a couple players were in that had logos covered on some part of their clothing
is their some thing about brand logos/sport team logos/etc that are not permitted to be broadcast? seems kinda crappy to me unless the players are blatantly advertising on a televised final table, maybe like they would for an online poker room. what if someone wanted to wear a hat of their favorite baseball team or something, would they have to tape over that? seems like a lame rule |

[/ QUOTE ] It's happened a couple of times, someone had a Yankees cap on and they made them tape over it. The WPT bans ALL logos, unless you're Phil Hellmuth and are able to sneak in a Polo logo on your hat. Kevin... |

Re: WPT rules regarding televised final tables and logos/brands
This is a WPT rule, not a broadcast rule.
WSOP has different rules, where players can wear a single small logo... -Aces |
