Re: rigoletto
[ QUOTE ]
If you want to improve you play with players that are better than you. [/ QUOTE ] This may be true, but you don't want to pay more for school than you can earn from a career. This is why they don't have 4-year college programs to earn a B.McD. If your bankroll allows it, occasionally play a higher limit "for the lesson". Or if you don't want to dump a grand or two on a 50/100 game, consder travelling to a cardroom in old Vegas or head to Atlantic City for a weekend or even chat up the pros in your local casino, engross yourself in poker books, or just watch a high-limit game to gain some insights. But making money NOW comes from learning about the game you are in. That's why you're on this message board, to get some feedback. Consider the fact that a lot of people on this forum care about the game at least as much and probably more than you do, and have an opinion worthwhile listening to. Don't automatically read it as fact, but don't automatically read it as bull either. |

Re: Is This Math Wrong?
lmao, I love this guy...
$1000 * 10% = $100 $200 * 40% = $80 I'll take the former. |

Re: At What Limit Will I Not See This?
Ok I love threads like this because the responses are often so funny.
I don't think anyone mentioned this so I will: Inexperienced players often get frustrated when they don't win their fair share of pots. At a ten man table, if they don't win 10% of hands, they feel they are losing out. This is why they feel like they do better against good players, because they will win 10-15% of pots against 9 good players. The problem is, of course, that they like winning pots than winning more money. The inexperienced player doesn't realize that you will win less pots against bad players, but it will be more than made up $-wise in the pots that you do win. |

[ QUOTE ]
I dont know much about poker but my instinct tells me that my premium hands are going to be -EV when you have 4 or more people playing every hand to river for big pots. [/ QUOTE ] God just killed a whole litter of kit-- No, wait, he just killed himself. |
