Other people play good hands badly....
part $100NL 6max, basically just sat down, ihave $100, villain is utg with $130. Villain limps, I raise red aces to $4, SB calls, BB calls, Villain calls.
Flop($15): Qd 9s 8d Villain leads for $1, I raise to $15, others fold, villain calls pretty quickly. Turn($45): 3c Villain thinks for a second and bets $7 Now, I know its online and you cant read faces, but you can read timing of peoples' action, and before the turn card came i had already put Villain on JT. The turn bet had me convinced, but i cant possibly fold, can I? I call River($59): 6c Villain bets $15 Ill spare the suspense. I call, villain had Q9. I was basically right in the read, except I didnt know villain was bad enough to play 2 pair like its unbreakable. Anyone ever lay down this river? |

Re: Other people play good hands badly....
I call just to see what he is playing.
with such a small bet, its almost never a bluff and he likely has TPTK and thus probably overpair beat but I think the $15 is worth the info. |

[/ QUOTE ] Basically right in your read? If you're convinved he has a str8 why are you calling the turn, if he actually has it you're drawing dead. No way I fold though in fact I'm probably raising because it looks so weak, maybe a TPTK type hand. The river is an auto-call getting 5:1. JMO |

Re: Other people play good hands badly....
1) If 75% of the table are regularly calling your raises, I raise more preflop.
2) If you don't know what they're playing, then calling a small bet for information is smart. But, if you know how they play, you're clearly beat. Unless I have a read otherwise, when a person out of position bets into the preflop raiser, calls your reraise and leads out into you again... your overpair is no good. |

A) Am I the only one who doesn't limp UTG with this crap?
B) Am I the only one who doesn't call a 4xBB raise with this crap? |

Re: Other people play good hands badly....
I think you played this good (personally I like to raise bigger preflop with great hands in this soooooper loose games (and if it's not sooooooper loose, go to a different table )). Anyway, flop is automatic I think, and the turn and river bets are just too small to fold. But unlike whatever everyone else seems to be saying, I think you are going to win this pot a good % of the time against typical Party donkeys.
