For those banned using PE

Quick question.....those that have gotten this letter of "cheating" did you sign up for PE through the Empire Poker/Poker Edge bonus "XXXXXX"?

I have been a PE member for a while and have NOT received this letter yet and i did not go through the promotion...

It would be interesting to hear of someone who did not sign up with the "bonus" and got this letter. My guess is that it would be quite easy for Empire to query all people who signed up with said "bonuscode" and then searched those machines.

Guess that answers your question. Looks like only those who received PE as a bonus for signing up with Empire got the nasty emails.

If this is true, was that the plan from the beginning? Did Empire work with and encourage PE to offer their product as an enticement to join Empire so that PP et. al. could identify large numbers of PE users, scaring away those users they could not identify? Was PE duped?

I did not sign up through the promotion and I got the email.

Cannot log onto PP. Connection is excellent but can't log on. Never received email. Am I banned or is PP just down?
