Default What would YOU do on this river?

Please Grunch. Do you call, raise or fold, and what is the range of hands the villian is on?

As indicated by hero posting in the CO, this is the first hand at the table.

I think he has a rivered 2 pair or a bd flush most of the time. I still call it down.

Just making sure calling that river isn't spewing or anything.

Villian turns over:

hero calls with disgust, mostly to preserve table image.

I give villain credit for made straight, flush, A6, or 66.

Grunching it, I would just call. You are getting a bit over 8:1 with top pair, second kicker and close the action, so I completely rule out fold.

With no reads, I don't see a raise being beneficial either. You get 3 bet when behind, and may get nothing additional if the BB folds. The times you get 3 bet outweigh heavily the times he just calls and you win the pot.

I would expect to be shown a winner more often than not, but not 90% of the time. Likely hands include A6, Ax of clubs, or T8.

I don't play 2/4 so I'm not familiar with the average strength of your opponents' play.

Without any reads, I'd just call. The river completes a straight draw and an unlikely flush draw. Your opponent could also have 67 for a rivered twopair (however unlikely). Folding here is out of the question because I feel you can win this more than 12% of the time against a busted straight (say 68 who caught a pair) or a weak ace doing a WA/WB. Raising I don't feel is correct, because you'd only be called (or 3-bet) by a hand that beats you.
