i made KJ and AT both suited. The ATs is marginal, you are getting huge EV here. Sure sure, you'll always take the bad players money LATER huh. |

Re: Results.......
Holdem Hi: 1086008 enumerated boards
cards win %win lose %lose tie %tie EV Ks Js 241466 22.23 840864 77.43 3678 0.34 0.223 Ad Td 272676 25.11 809654 74.55 3678 0.34 0.252 9d 9h 176973 16.30 905357 83.37 3678 0.34 0.164 Qs Qh 391215 36.02 691115 63.64 3678 0.34 0.361 Like i said. I am a fav against all of them individually and and underdog collectivley. 64% i wont win 36% i will win. This makes me like my fold even more. And yes there money will come to me eventually. And no its not arrogant. I dont consider myself an excellent tourney player, they were just that bad. It took less than 2 hours to make the final table w/rebuys. |

Re: Results.......
You can't think about the risk without thinking about the reward. In this case, if you win, you've pretty much won the tournament right there, as your stack will be just about untouchable. If you lose, you still have an M of around 10, which is workable, especially if all the players are as bad as you say.
You seem fixated on this one case where you have only 36% equity...what about all the cases where you have 50-60% equity (and they are numerous)? |

Re: Results.......
37% equity you are NOTTTTT a dog. Jeezus. For every single chip out there you are a strong favorite.
However, I do not mind your fold AT ALL. Considering the relatively medium sized blinds, you have more time to find a better situation like you said. But like I said, 36% to win is not a dog situation, with 4 players. That's like saying AA against 9 random hands is a dog. Sure it wins way less than 50%, but we all know AA is never a dog (unless TWO AA are out there and 3-4 other people have smaller pocket pairs... :-D!!!) |

Re: Results.......
Maybe you felt at the time that the chips you would gain after winning the huge pot weren't worth to you as much as the chips you would lose (1/3 of your stack) were worth to you. The Block Theory...

Re: Cowardly? Brilliant? Whats your take on this hand my friends scorn
Sounds like a really shitty tourney. Just save yourself the buyin and go play somewhere else or online.
Easy push by the way. You're racing donks with QQ and a huge overlay and you've got them covered. |

Re: Cowardly? Brilliant? Whats your take on this hand my friends scorn
I stopped playing them for 2 raasons. 1 the rake is way too high. 2 if you win your expected to tip the dealer 10%. I won one for 1K the last time and bought in for 50 and had to tip 100 so i won 850 on 50 which isnt bad but what if i didnt win? I dont think its ever a bad thing to play with donks...

[ QUOTE ]
My reason is QQ is probably a fav agaisnt all of them collectivly but against 4 people i think im a dog. [/ QUOTE ] You aren't going to win more than 50% of the time against 4 people.... but you certainly have a plurality even though you do not have a majority. given the description of the opponents i make this push 100% of the time. |

Re: Cowardly? Brilliant? Whats your take on this hand my friends scorn?
cowardly. scared poker.
I reraise here 100% of the time. 1. you can't bust out. 2. you likely have the best hand 3. it is very likely that both the initial raiser and the cold caller will fold. the cold-caller probably has a weak/mid pair that u dominate, so u really don't care if he calls. 4. this is your chance to bust out several players, and really put yourself in a dominating position for the remainder of the final table play. -Scott |
