1st 2/4 hand

Ok let me start off by saying I normally play .25/.50 but I got bored and decided to try a little 2/4. It wasn't going ot kill my br and I wanted to take a shot. Anyway, it gets down to my last hand before bed and the following hand comes up. I don't normally play at this level so I didn't know what to expect, but here goes:

Severely overplayed top pair unless you had a strong read.

I also find myself at times suffering from overplaying top pairs syndrome. Is leading the flop for a pot-size bet too much with this many people in or do you think that he made his mistake on the turn?

Classic "one more hand before I go" syndrome?

I find that when I decide it is time to go then it is better to go straight away.
Too many times I have decided to play one more hand and got burnt on it.

Once the flop gets raised, hero is probably behind. I say fold the flop once it goes 'bet pot, push all-in, cold-call'. Sure his cold call could be a draw. It also could be a monster hoping to keep you in since he doesn't want to just isolate the all-in short stack with his set and doesn't put you on the flush draw since you bet the flop. It's possible that the short stack is just a short stacked idiot and the other guy is on a flush draw the decided to go nuts on the turn, but it seems like an unlikely situation. More likely someone has a set, TPTK, or an overpair.

What do you think about calling the additional $17 on the flop -- pot is pretty big ~$130 -- and checking the turn with the intention of folding to any serious action?

Agree with worstplayer. This is one of those hands where even if you are ahead, it's going to get ugly on later streets. Lead out pot on flop but dump after the action. It's just KQ.

I would call the $17 if it weren't cold called. I don't really like it with the caller, but it can't be that bad since you're closing the action and getting insane odds. I'm definitely not potting the turn, though. That is just spewage, I think.

I'd raise pre-flop, but since you didn't.

Flop is fine, but BB's call is scaring me. I'd definitly not pot the turn, bet ½ pot and take it from there (fold to a raise). He's not making a move as the pot is protected w/ button all-in.
