Re: MMORPGs and Poker
The most noticeable difference, I think, is that I could see myself enjoying the high level game in poker, if I get there. The endgame in Everquest made me throw up in my mouth.

[/ QUOTE ] I corrected the spelling. I agree with you, I'm looking forward to the end-game content too (presuming I get there). Something about making more money an hour playing poker than my 9-5 is more appealing than getting an epic drop. |

Unless you count Diablo 2, which you shouldn't, because counting that is stupid. Funny thing is, with all the poker I've played, these days I feel I'd get a bigger rush out of raiding Nagafen and finally winning a damned Cloak of Flames in the roll, than I will playing poker unless I multiply the current stakes by 5 or so. |

Re: MMORPGs and Poker
I play single table sit-n-gos exclusively. I can jump on the computer for 40mins at a time and 4-table them. I just cancelled my WoW account, and I had to 'book' nights off from my wife so I could get in a solid 3-4 hour Blackrock Spires run with the guild. She likes it more now, and I like it more so far too.
Although I'm still at the small stakes tables, I've made enough money in the last 2 weeks to pay for 10 months of MMO subscription fees (make that 5 months, since I dual-box). |
