Badly because the turn check-raise sucks.

Re: 5/10 How did I do?
I don't like checking any street here. You have good position on the raiser to bet and have him raise the entire field. The turn checkraise makes no sense. Also, unless I've seen the CO cap T7 before, I'm raising and capping at all oppurtunities.

Re: 5/10 How did I do?
Value cap the turn, raise the river. With the agression being shown by CO, this is not the time to go for overcalls. At least of the players is probably on a draw (either straight or flush), so they aren't calling one bet, let alone two. You've got the 2nd nuts....looks like CO has AA/99...get your money in there!!

Re: 5/10 How did I do?
1. I see not reason not to three-bet the flop. The idiot end of the straight is not strong enough to slowplay. Any Q, J, 10, 7, or 5 may completely or partially kill your hand, so you don't want to encourage limpers to hang around with gutshots. Just get your money in right away.
2. I can see no good reason not to cap the turn. You have second nuts. The UTG/+1 donks are plenty happy to hang around. CO raised pre-flop and has been jamming it all the way; I would not at all be surprised to see him turn over AA here. 3. Given the unlikelihood of 10 7 here, I think stopping anywhere short of a capped river is a mistake. Realize that if villain has AA, which looks at least reasonably possible, you have cost yourself no less than 6 BB by not playing more aggressively. |
