Default Strangest NL hand I have witnessed

On my recent trip to Vegas I played the midnight tourney at Plaza and was involved in the strangest hand I have ever seen.

I was sitting in seat 1, and when the dealer dealt the 2nd card to seat 3, the card hit my finger and flipped up. The card shown was an Ace. Seat 3 looks at his other card and then exposes the other Ace in disgust. Seat 7 a short stack then looks at his card and exposes AQ. Seat 4 then looks at her cards and exposes AJ. All 4 aces exposed. Meanwhile seat 10 calls, I call with 33 and one other player also calls. Flop is 385. Seat 10 moves in, I move in and the other player calls. Other players have 87 and 86. I triple up and win a monster pot in a very bizarre hand.

Of course if the Ace isn't exposed, the AQ moves in for his final few chips. I likely call. AA moves in and I would muck.

Wouldn't this be a misdeal or a dead/burned card that was exposed? And why is everyone flipping their cards face up are they still playing or are they mucking? Strange indeed.

No misdeal, he was dealt a 2nd card once everyone else got their 2nd card.

Usually an exposed card with no action is replaced.

Sure the Ace for the 1st guy exposed was replaced but the other two hands that were exposed are just dead hands.

Just because a card got flipped up doesn't grant the right for everyone else to start showing their hands. I dont get why AJ and AQ are disgustedly showing a table full of people playing their hands.

Well it is midnight, at the Plaza and the tourney is only $100. Who knows what makes people do strange things.
