Default TP decent kicker vs. an unknown (regression in my play?)

Well, I haven't played much in the last three months, and I believe this may be a regression in my play... the table was moderately loose-passive. Villain just sat down.

I was ready to ditch my hand unimproved after the 3-bet from unknown. Looking back on the hand, I think that was a bad idea given the multitude of draws on the flop. On the turn, I picked up the gutshot so I called with many outs to improve. How should I be proceeding after the flop here? I definitely should be showing this down vs. an unknown, right?

By the way, someone disconnected and was all-in on the flop.

I think it's alright. I think I'd call a river K as well (factoring these in as occasional outs pushes the turn to a call IMO).

I am not folding this on the river (or any street for that matter).

I like the way you played it before the fold. I think that I may have raised back at him on the turn, but in retrospect, I think that the call was correct.

I just don't think that I would ever fold this on the river, he may have been on a draw, and they way you played the hand, you could have been as well. I wouldn't be suprised to see that the villan was also on a draw (with A high) and bet to see if you would fold (which you did).

I hate replies like this but:
I would fold preflop

The rest is fine as you already know

Do you limp in CO then? I limp this in CO for sure, in late MP not so much.

I would be labeled a LAG, as I'm like 19+/11/3 at 15k hands in .25/.50, and similar stats at .50/1.00; but I think PF I might raise 3 off the button at a loose table. After that, I would call the flop, then pop the turn. If I get 3 bet on the turn, I would prolly have to muck it without good reads on MP1.

I was VPIP 27 at 0.5/1 but I wouldn't raise that. QTo is just a crap hand.

If it is a nice passive readable table then maybe limping is OK. It will be a hard hand to play though. You can be trapped a lot of times with this: middle pair, top pair bad kicker, gutshot etc. Calling down b/c "the pot is big".
