I am looking to improve my stud8 game, but there doesnt seem too much info out there on it. I am looking for some advanced strategy and wondering if there are any good sites on it.

I'm really not aware of any sites that are anywhere near as good as this one for stud/8. Get High-Low Split Poker for Advanced Players if you don't already have it.

All the Stud8 discussion here at 2+2 is mostly in this regular Stud forum, right? There's no specific Stud8 forum that I've seen.

there are a couple of interesting 2 pagers out there on various Poker sites, Badgers site for instance has a small important essay on tournament play for stud8. Also a highly mathematical site by a University proffesor on odds etc.
Read:
Super System II
Then Zees book, then the book by Roy West (Stud )
Sklanskys Advanced Stud 7 (Important odds etc.)
Then Tourney Stud 8 by Max Stern 9Also the std book on razz)

I have been thinking of doing a stud 8 site, but its too much time and why give out secrets for free that have taken 100s of hours to develop/learn?

Anyhow the best info is what u learn from playing and analysing your mistakes.

Right now, the Stud forum includes all stud variants--stud, stud/8, high-low stud with no qualifier, high-low stud declare, razz, Follow-the-Queen, etc. We take on all comers. I think we've almost grown to a point where we need more than one forum, but I'm not ready to make that recommendation yet.

I haven't looked at it in a while, but it seems to me that I found a lot of the advice on that site to be sub-standard.

[/ QUOTE ]i.e. they recommend capping any low draw on fourth. They also state that they presume that the to 4th ratio is above 50%. You'd be hard-pressed to find tables that loose even in the micros.

There are a couple articles on Russ Georgiev's site, Pokermafia.com. I haven't read them in a while, so I won't comment on their relevance.
