Default What\'s your BB/100 at different limits?

It's about time for me to move up to 1/2 now and I'm interested in others experience, no mather if it was a good or bad experience.

If you would list a few things, we could see how much tougher or profitable it could be moving between limits. Interesting to list could be:
* BB/100 or BB/hr and the limit
* how many tables you play
* if it's limit or NL
* name of the poker room you play at
* how many BB you won/lost when moving up to the new limit (and maybe what you win now if you have improved your game)

As an example (no correct numbers):
"Playing Limit HE 0,5/1 at Party/Empire I won 6 BB/100 (playing 3 tables) and my first 10K hands at 1/2 I won 2,5 BB/100 (3 tables). After some adjustments I now win 4 BB/100."

I hope that someone is interested in sharing their numbers..

My BB/100 is a question mark. I never bothered to play enough hands in any limit/game to assess a more accurate win rate. I somehow made a few grand playing (which I'm going to blow in my holidays soon) so at least it seems to be positive.

Just moved from .5/1 limit (Empire Poker) to 1/2 limit. For .5/1 I'm at 5.4bb/100 over 17,000 hands (3 tabling).

So far I'm at 13bb/100 for 1/2 (unfortunately only through 150 hands) but I'm hoping to continue near where I was at .5/1.

From the limited time at 1/2, the play seems to be the same, VPIP and preflop raise % for the tables are exactly the same at each limit thus far.

20K 0.5/1 limit hands 4-table at Party/Skins slightly over 4BB

3K 1/2 limit hands 4-table at Party/Skins around 2BB

Don't have access to my database right now so the numbers might be off.

I think 1/2 is a little bit tighter than 0.5/1, it is definately beatable at the level of 3-4BB at least.

Sweet! A cool opportunity to brag and be helpful at the same time!

.5/1:

4.55 BB/100 over 11k hands.
Worked up to 4 tables after 5k hands.
Limit.
Party
Didn't lose any BBs initially.

1/2:

3.24 BB/100 over 7k hands.
4 tables after 2k hands.
Limit.
Empire.
Lost 50 BBs initially.

1/2 6-max:

6.18 BB/100 over 7k hands.
4 tables after 1k hands.
Limit.
Empire.
Lost 30 BBs initially.

2/4:

2.10 BB/100 over 15k hands.
4 tables after 10k hands.
Limit.
Eurobet.
Lost 100 BBs, worked up to +50 BBs, lost 100 BBs, then won 300 BBs.

3/6 full:

0.00 BB/100 over 100 hands.
1 table.
Limit.
Eurobet.
Lost 12 BBs then won them back.

3/6 SH:

3.01 BB/100 over 7k hands.
3 tables thus far.
Limit.
Eurobet.
Didn't lose any initially, then went on a quick 100 BB downswing, then back up.

focusing on bb/100 with less than 200K hands is foolish

Quick take on this...

I got PT in February.

At 9,000 hands of 1/2(Stars and Party) I was at 0.8bb/100. I was sort of down that I was not beating the game for more than 1.0. Then I went on a tear. By 11,000 hands I was winning at 1.5bb/100. I don't think I was playing any differently, though I would like to think I am getting better it was just the way the deck was hitting me.

At 2/4 I am 0.45bb/100 after 10,000 hands. Is it tougher? Am I playing differently?
I don't think I am going to find out just by comparing my bb/100. ?

Good luck all.

No, it's not. Too many get hung up on bb/100 with miniscule sample sizes and delude themselves into thinking that they are something that they are not. Focusing on making the proper play given the circumstances is what people need to concern themselves with, especially when considering moving up. Running hot for 10K hands doesn't mean that one doesn't have a slew of holes in their game. I played 30K hands in June and had a bb/100 of -0.04bb/100, and I am not a losing player.

hi

moving up in level can be a stressful experience.

when i first started playing 0.5/1 i lost about 60 BB before got my feet under me and when on to win 3+BB/100 over 20k hands.

when i first started playing 1/2, i lost about 25 bb and thought it was the end of the world. i mean, that was FIFTY bbs at .5/1, a whole buyin (or TWO!), just gone. then i readjusted and am comfortable at 1/2 over 32k hands for 3+bb/100.

at 2/4, i lost about 40BB and thought it was the end of the world. i mean, thats EIGHTY!!! bbs at 1/2, just gone. i'm not the greatest 2/4 player, but i think i am currently at least breakeven (though who knows for sure) and i've only played 18k hands for about 0.3bb-0.9bb/100.

just keep playing good poker...
