AJo Turn Decision
I'd just sat down at the table and the only read I had on the villain was that if he bet against a dangerous board (specifically: Q-T-9-8), it did not imply he had better than top pair (he had Q6 that particular hand). Comments on all streets are appreciated.

Re: AJo Turn Decision
Without a better read that this guy is overaggro, I'm not going to war on the flop like you did. I prolly call the initial raise and c/c the turn. River depends on what hits.

Re: AJo Turn Decision
check calling this hand down can't be that bad considering the fact he's an aggresive player. Well maybe you can throw a bet on the river too for value.

Re: AJo Turn Decision
major spew on the flop against and unknown. bet into him or c/r.
i'd fold the turn. the pot is big only because of flop spewage, but- 1. if he has trips you're screwed if your Ace or Jack comes. 2. you're screwed if he has KK or AK if your Jack comes in 3. your screwed if he has AQ and either of your A or J come in. so i think you're looking at ~2 outs for your Kings (discounted in case he has 1-2 of them). |

Re: AJo Turn Decision
not so crazy about the flop 3 bet. call the turn. if the river brings A, J, or K I bet out. otherwise check/call.

Re: AJo Turn Decision
I just call the flop raise and call down UI. There aren't many hands that can be 3-bet preflop that you are beating. The way you played it, I fold the turn. The only card that is really going to help you is the K, and there are at most 4 of them, which is only giving you 10.5:1 odds, which isn't good enough to merit calling. Not to mention he very well could have a K, so you have even less outs.

Re: AJo Turn Decision
...calls. Your probably behind to AK or maybe AA, but AK is 3x(?) more likely.
If your behind, you have four Kings and three Jacks to give you a better hand. Edit: Opps, a Jack would give AK a straight. The only other hands I think he has are AA or TT. AQ is also possible in which case your screwed. Throw this away. See absolute's post above. A bet saved is a bet earned. |

Re: AJo Turn Decision
This is super standard way ahead/way behind territory.
1) Check-call, check-call, bet, or 2) Check-call, check-call, check-call are both pretty acceptable based on how aggressive you've thus far perceived vVillain to be. Given the scary board thing, I'd probably c/c, c/c, c/c. |

Re: AJo Turn Decision
I just wanted to chime in with the others who pointed out that this is an obvious application of WA/WB. C-c the flop, c-c the turn, and then either bet the river or c-c that as well. The river decision is interesting, but the other two streets should be routine.
