Default When is Rakeback worth it?

How much money should you be making in poker (and/or perhaps what limit tables are you playing) where rakeback is important? For example, i play 0.5/1 is rakeback worth it?

Can someone also explain how rakeback works? Are you paying someone for the rakeback system?

Rakeback is better than no rakeback even at .50/1. As for making a decent amount an hour, I'd say 5/10 6 max.

(Sorry, I'm being a bit facetious. There's no point in not setting up rakeback in anticipation of moving up at a later point, so if you're opening a new account you might as well do it. But at .5/1 assuming you're bonus whoring, you'll never have +MGR and hence will never see any money from rakeback because bonuses are so much more profitable.)

When I played .50/1, I paid $1500 in rake (there abouts, I took out times i was doing bonus's). I wouldn't mind $350 of that.

From what I can figure out, the poker site pays the rakeback site a % of the rake you pay. Say, and I'm just guessing here, Empire pays rakeback site 35% of the rake that every player they refer to Empire pays. Then rakeback site offers the player they refer 25% of their rake back to them. They are making money every month for u just playing, and you get a kick too.
