Re: DN slams Greenstein
He also supposedly backed Mimi Tran who lost 500k. So he is down 3-2.
I think Daniels best games are to come as well. |

It's so annoying when people say this. He's tied 2-2 and Mimi Tran is down 0-1. Case closed. [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, but DN has stated that Barry chose his best games to play first. If Barry is only tied at this early stage in the matches, then it is likely Barry will be way down at the end. The cool thing is that DN said he would stake Barry at $10/20 if Barry needs to re-build his roll after the HU matches are complete. So even if Barry goes broke, DN will be there for him. |

I'm 3-4 in the completed matches and am leading both pending matches for a balance of +$419,000 after 79.5 hours. For those counting, that's an hourly rate of $5270.44 an hour." [/ QUOTE ] Another thing we can take out of this blog is that DN is making more per hour than the best players in the big game. Sklansky said on this board a while back that the best big game (4K/8K) player could expect to make half a big-blind per hour (~4K). DN is making $5K+ per hour, so he is making more per hour than those in the big game. I think DN is staking a claim as one of the preeminent cash game players of the modern era. [/ QUOTE ] El Oh El at your sample size. |

Yeah, but DN has stated that Barry chose his best games to play first. If Barry is only tied at this early stage in the matches, then it is likely Barry will be way down at the end. [/ QUOTE ] I don't see how that stands to reason. Just because he thinks he's better at Stud than hold em doesn't mean he won't be able to win in it. Luck plays a huge role in a HU freezeout, so it's mostly going to come down to the way the cards fall. [ QUOTE ] The cool thing is that DN said he would stake Barry at $10/20 if Barry needs to re-build his roll after the HU matches are complete. So even if Barry goes broke, DN will be there for him. [/ QUOTE ] 1 - When did he say that? Could he be any more cocky or rude? 2 - Do you really think Barry could go broke playing a few 500K HU matches? Think again... |

Re: DN slams Greenstein
I played for 1 minute yesterday and won a $200 pot.
Obviously my rate of $6k/hour makes me a better player than both DN or those silly .5BB/hr 'big game' players. Do you really think that DN's sample-size is sufficient to draw any conclusions regarding win-rate? (hint - if you do then you're retarded). |

[/ QUOTE ] 1 - When did he say that? Could he be any more cocky or rude? [/ QUOTE ] I think he said it in a CardPlayer interview. He laughed after he said it, but I'm sure he would love to stake Barry after breaking him. That is probably the number one dream of all the big-name players. I'm sure that Barry is far from being broke and I'm sure that DN was joking when he made his "staking" comment. |
