Rake impact across levels of limit poker
At first I was going to post this in the micro-forum, but realized I needed input from other playing small stakes, so rather than cross post it, I'll throw it in general
I've been playing .5/1 on Party for a little while now, and have over 6000 hands in - disappointingly enough, I've been hovering around break even, up about .25 bb/100 looking at my poker tracker stats, I can see that I have personally paid $163 in rake out of my winnings, or about 2.5 bb/100 - I know my game needs a lot of work, as even with this rake structure, I should be able to beat the game more handily, but given my sample size I'm not ready to throw in the towell yet anyway, back on topic, do other players at the next few levels up have stats on how much the rake is costing them in terms of bb/100? for 1/2, 2/4, 3/6 thanks for any replies |

Re: Rake impact across levels of limit poker
less and less and less.
but then again, a great winrate become smaller and smaller as you move up limits too. someone figure out the ratio of rake to good winrates at each limit |

Re: Rake impact across levels of limit poker
this is one reason why i couldnt stand playing 1/2 limit holdem anymore. the rake cuts into your winnings much to far.

Re: Rake impact across levels of limit poker
1/2 is totally brutal unless the table is a bunch of non thinking clowns. If you have weakie tight rocks you steal a pre flop raise and get charged 10 percent. Good luck in beating that for much money.........
