I know im beated but cant fold
I know this is very stupid question, but maybe someone have been in similiar situation.
I often face a situation where im "sure" to be beated and dont have odds to call/continue the hand. But I feel like I cant fold because I feel people will start taking adventage of my weak play. Is that kind of fear non-sense in 5/10 -> 20/40 games? |

Re: I know im beated but cant fold
Basically you weigh everything against the pot odds. Making big laydowns on the river for one bet is rarely correct, but if you think the pot odds indicate a fold, do it. Say you're playing 5-10 and the pot is 80 after you get raised on the end. You are getting 8-1 odds to call the raise. Is he on air or a lesser hand than you one in eight times? If you think this is the case, call. If you determine he can't have a worse hand than yours 1/8 of the time or more, then muck it.

Re: I know im beated but cant fold
This mostly happens when I have bet both preflop and river and then ABC player raises me on turn.

Make the right play, right now. If you sense that your "default" style is being exploited, adjust.

I was just about to make fun of this thread title, but then I noticed you are from India and have an Indian-ish name.
Don't worry about what people will think as much. Fold when you know you are beat. It is really just throwing money away if that is what it is. |
