Bosstones or Oasis.
Been listening to at least one of either of their cds almost daily for the last 7ish years, and I'm not sick of either yet. |

Re: So You can only listen to one band for the rest of your life...
I got really bored at work. I am shocked to only find one Zeppelin answer as his catalogue is rather large and varied, too.
Greatful Dead or Beatles. They both playing so many different kinds of music it would be like listening to several different bands. moondogg This is the key. I would probably pick the Beatles as well, though I haven't given it too much thought. Homer Stones or Beatles AZK can we include their future output as well? if so, Wilco. if not, Willie Nelson or the Beatles pryor15 it's obvious. molawn2mo it's obvious. Quotes molawn2mo : DMBFan23 I'd probably go with The Beatles. Not only are they awesome, they have alot of stuff, which I think is important to consider when answering this question. YourFoxyGrandma I think Beatles is the best answer here, as they have so much music and all of it is good. But key here is volume. ChoicestHops It was between RUSH and the Beatles for me. RUSH being my favorite music, The Beatles have a better range of stuff (forever is a [censored] of a long time). Minute for minute though, I think RUSH has more studio recorded music. If not, it is extremely close. ThinMan yes, but then again every beatles song is perma-stuck in everyones head as it is. you know ? gorie Beatles. Not close. CallMeIshmael Fa sho tbach24 Beatles. Not close. Most overrated band ever. Wow. What an amazingly stupid statement. Swede swede123 The beatles are my favourite band, and they are AT LEAST slightly overrated. Their reputation is nothing short of superhuman. I dont think even the Beatles are as good as people say the Beatles were. EDIT: of course this is different from saying they are the most overrated band of all time. CallMeIshmael Interesting that the OP has an avatar of ... THE BEATLES! Me thinks it was all an elaborate plot to get people to concede the Beatles are the best band eva. Oh you diabolical genius you. PS - I choose beetle. sexdrugsmoney It's difficult to decide. Obviously, the answer to this questions isn't my 'favorite' band, for reasons others have stated. A couple bands that come to mind are Pink Floyd and The Beatles. They both have a lot of songs, a lot of variety to their songs, and their songs don't really grow old. I'm surprised I'm the first to mention Pink Floyd. brassnuts They are not near to being one of my favorite bands but I don't understand how the answer to this question could be anyone other than The Beatles. They have it all. If you feel like gitty pop tunes, they've got it. Previous generations could find dance songs among their discography. Beautiful ballads, they have many of those. Bizarre enchanting abstract songs, they've made an album or two full of them. They also have a great number of feet thumbing rock songs. What else do you need? It is also incredibly interesting to hear them grow from teen idols to some of the greatest song writers ever. Chairman Wood You sir are most correct. Chairman Wood I wholeheartedly agree, however, I still think the answer to the question is The Beatles. Chairman Wood i considered the beatles. they have a large and varied catalog, but i'm certain i would get sick of them. i'm not sick of the smiths, and i've intentionally replayed their music orders of magnitude more than the beatles. astroglide |
