Best for clearing bonuses?
I just cleared a bonus on party poker for 500 hands in .5/1 rooms. I had to play 870 hands to do it though, which took forever. The next time I clear a bonus, I think I'm going to play 1/2. How many hands do you think it will take to clear a bonus at this level? If you get cards dealt to you, and you fold them pre-flop and the pot reaches $5 it's still a raked hand counted on your part right? I kind of feel PP is dicking me some on them for some reason.

What makes you think PP is "dicking you"?

Re: Best for clearing bonuses?
Well when I was at 495 raked hands, I counted 8 raked hand >$5 after that and when I refreshed the page it only showed up 500 even. I'm sure they aren't, could be my mistake, but I'd just like to find out the best way to clear a bonus. I'm about a 2-3 BB/100 hands .5/1 player, and I've been breaking a little more than even at 1/2.

Re: Best for clearing bonuses?
Well according to my data it breaks down like this...
.50/1 : 8,180 hands raked out of 14,326 played or about 57% 1/2 : 4,641 hands raked out of 6,168 played or about 75% The 1/2 games are a little tougher so you may want to think about jumping levels just because you think you can clear the bonus faster. You don't clear any bonus if you lose it all while playing. Since Party Re-Loads are currently churning out at 7x let's take a look at the difference... 700 raked at .50/1 ~ 1228 total 700 raked at 1/2 ~ 933 total Isn't a real big deal given you can get 60-70 hands an hour per table. |

[/ QUOTE ] If you have Poker Tracker it tells you how many hands have been raked out of your total hands. It'd be real easy to just compare right quick after a session or sessions where you cleared a bonus. I would assume there is a little delay between the time a hand ends and the time it ends up being counted on the Account page. Heck on Prima you are lucky to get a raked hand update every half hour. If you don't have Poker Tracker, why the hell not?! |

Re: Best for clearing bonuses?
As far as getting screwed out of raked hands, you could be on to something here...
I was looking at my raked hand total in PT and my raked hand total according to Empire Poker's account page since I started clearing the 50JULY bonus. Empire has me down for 504 raked hands but PT has it listed out as 531. Hmmm, time to do a little research as I finish off this bonus... |

Re: Best for clearing bonuses?
multipoker's 20x20 bonus is worth about $5.80/hr at 2/4 and 0.5/1 (a little more at 0.5/1).
empire's is worth about 7.50/hr (15x unknown days). I'm kinda curious what the bonus would be worth if you were to play it at 5/10 or 15/30 or some other limit where most of the hands are raked. If you could survive at these limits, I bet it would be pretty lucrative to run their bonuses. --Dave. |

[/ QUOTE ] Calc'ed Empire's bonus out using 1500 hands as the req instead of 1000 hands. As a result, empire changes to: $10.80/hr. This depends on playing 4 tables at 200 hands per hour (can take breaks if you hit 200 hands sooner if you want I guess). --Dave. |
