Draft is scheduled for July 30th in Ottawa. Format is as follows:

Each team gets three balls but loses one for each year they made the playoffs in the last 3 years and for each first overall draft choice they've had in the last 4 years. No team can have less than one ball. They draw balls for places.

Basically, most teams will have one ball, some will have two and a few of the worst teams (i.e. Pittsburg) will have three.

Very cool. Only four teams have 3 balls. The Penguins, Sabres, Blue Jackets, and Rangers.
