Re: The Party Whine Thread
Party just went down... rebooting for the freeroll? I dunno how bad it will be - - about 1,500 registered but maybe they can handle it...

Re: The Party Whine Thread
I would be playing on Party right now, except that their entire site is down AGAIN, crashing while I was in the middle of a $100 NL tourney. Party had better be careful...they may be king of the hill right now, but we all know how temporary that can be. Ask Planet.

Re: The Party Whine Thread
I was in a hand where I had made the nut flush on the turn in three way action when the site went down.
During prior crashes, what is their policy for either a) completing the action or b) refunding bets? RH |

Re: The Party Whine Thread
I don't see how the free roll multi table tourney will work tonight. Last time party had a freeroll with 1,000 people it crashed after about an hour. I've never seen them have a multi with over 1,000 people because they always cap registration at 1k.
Even with party crashing all the time and going slow it's still more than worth it to play there but it does seem unecessary that party has so many server problems with all the money ther are making. |

Re: The Party Whine Thread
In the past they've returned all bets. You get an email saying you had X dollars at the beginning of the hand and your account is being reset to that amount.

lol.
My connection was still very good, even as the "Establishing Connection" message flashed in the middle of the table. |

Tournaments?
I was in the middle of 2 tournaments, down to 3 left (in the money) on 1, and just started the other. What happens with those tournaments? Do I get refunded at some point? I am more curious about the tournement where I was in the money already...

AOL business model.
Remember how AOL did business in the mid-late ninties?
Advertise the hell out the service, provide an inferior product & crappy customer service, but keep airing more commercials to attract new simpltons & newbies to AOL. Customers getting frustrated with busy signals & not being able to get online? No problem...air more commercials. Five years later, just look how this business model worked out for them. They're losing AOL subscribers at a rate of one million per year, and accelerating. The stock is in the toilet, and would be under $2, if they hadn't conned Time Warner into a takeover deal. Partypoker, take notes! |
