Default How to get \"garbage\" smell out of a dryer?

I own an apartment building where over the weekend someone thought it would be fun to dump garbage in the dryer and then run it through a cycle. The smell is horrendous.

The dryer is reasonably new and in good shape. I don't want to have replace it. I have removed the garbage and washed the drum with ammonia but the smell still lingers. Anyone have any suggestions as to how to remove this ungodly odor?
