SHOWDOWN Gatorskin88 wins $2,460. I THINK he had AK, but not sure obviously. A poorly played KK-JJ is of course possible. A few questions. Good fold/Bad fold? Is there a way I can get away from this without losing half my stack, and how would you play it differently? |

i wouldn't play AJo when we 'just started' following a couple limpers...not to mention the 4 left to act. IF i did, i would just limp...looking for TPTK or better. certainly don't mind you leading out on this flop after your PF raise - but you've created such a large pot, your continuation bet makes things pretty dicey to continue with the cold call. your turn bet may as well been a check/fold. T300 into a T800+ pot screams 'eh...maybe my Ax ain't so good'. an easy still for villian on the river. not that this wasn't painfully obvious, but you forked over >1/3 of your chips on a hand you could have just as easily folded PF (save your AJo raises for unopened pots in similar/later positions/later blinds).

I *might* limp this preflop, likely not though
This is why you avoid AJo/AQo in early levels |

Fold preflop. I would only raise AJo from button or CO when all folded to me on level 1, and would only limp it with at least 2 limpers from button and MAYBE CO. Not CO+1.
