[why would they schedule this for wed? whats wrong with next week

[/ QUOTE ]

There isn't a baseball All-Star game next week.

FSN would'nt be able to get the clearance needed to show a LIVE poker tournament.

Title: Towne wins a big pot
Log: Eddie calls a big river all-in bet and shows the best hand, sending the player in Seat 3 packing. Greg Raymer says "nice call", to which Towne replies "He's got internet finger, clicks the imaginary mouse when he's got a big hand...that time he wasn't clicking."

[/ QUOTE ]

I liked this because it didn't register until the last sentence.

My only regret is not betting like $10 on Phil Ivey to win the main event, the Bodog odds were like 250-to-1. Yikes!

[/ QUOTE ]

Wow, that's a terrible price.

[/ QUOTE ]

last week it was, but as of right now....

[/ QUOTE ]

Sure, but the OP acts like 250-1 was a good price, which it clearly wasn't. I don't know who the best player in the tournament is, but I do know that taking 250-1 on him is definitely -EV.

I think Ivey/Negreanu were co-faves at that price.

Exactly, which is why he will win eventually with or against AQ as a 66% favorite. Not because he has lost some many times, but because he will win the majority of the time.

Wow. I think getting 250-1 on EITHER of them to win is a terrible bet, especially considering that it was assumed the field would be a full 6600 when the betting was taking place.

Default First time for everything

Here's a first, me and Mike Matusow agree on something!

Title: Ivey: "You are my idol"
Log: Mike Matusow walks by as Phil Ivey scoops a $300,000 pot off of Johnny Howard and exclaims, "You are my idol Phil!"
